getting started

[SDE]

i run several half-life mod servers and wanted to add a bf1942 also, so here i am.

running bf1942 seems pretty straight-forward, however i can't recognize it as a client.

system: rh7.2

i've setup the ServerSettings.con with the proper IP and port i wish to run on.

then to run the server, i run the following command:

./bf1942_indexed

upon running this command, i get many errors, ending with a bunch of "STREAM_DEBUG" lines when they stop.  It seems like everything is running fine on the server side, however I can not see the server from Gamespy nor All Seeing Eye.

The directory I am running the server from is owned by the user that is executing the game.

Is there anything I might be missing?
