could you please investigate the status of gcc3 binaries under FreeBSD
(with and without emulation)?

I'd be interested in seeing what we can do with this.

So, it looks as if all those people who are running FreeBSD are SOL with
the 1.4 release.  I don't think the linux-compat ports have been
upgraded
to include gcc3 yet......

Now, I might be wrong..  But if this is the case, this will be the final
nail in the BF1942 coffin for me at least..
