new update -> linux server still crashes :(

works great, El Alamein CTF, play for long time, change or reload levels,
evereything is sweet. until the fourth player actually joins the game.
then the cpu spikes and freezes, disconnecting all players (via client
connectivity timeout). the output on the console shows no significant
information. however if someone wants to supply me with the right stack
trace command and four players to test it out i can provide better debug
info.
