Optimized server executables

Hello,

now that we have a chance to talk to a server coder directly (hello Ryan
:-) ), would it be possible to release some cpu optimized server binaries
when the most important bugs have been fixed?

Maybe
- standard release for all (x86) cpu's

and additionally some gcc(3?) binaries you could use to replace the standard
binary
- optimized for P4
- optimized for Athlon (XP/MP/Classic)
- optimized for P3
- optimized for ...

I don't know how much performance you could gain by using a few more
compiler flags but it could be worth a try. Only an idea... :-)
