Similar the classical centaur, the manotaur appears as a cross between a large bull and a heavily muscled human. Bull horns adorn the head and the heavily muscled neck enables the manotaur to use the horns as weapons against opponents of greater than 6" in height. The manotaur's ears are also bovine in appearance. Coloring varies from near black to various shades of brownish-red. The upper torso is generally lighter in color and often approaches caucasian in coloration.
Very little is known about the manotaur culture. Manotaurs are notoriously hostile and, even amongst themselves, war constantly. Manotaurs speak their own language as well as the language of minotaurs but show little interest in communicating with other races. Heka-use is uncommon but shamans have been rumored to approach human-typical levels of power.
Manotaurs are typically armed with sword and spear or battle-axe and spear but are quite capable when it comes to unarmed combat. When charging, the manotaur's spear is used as a lance. Manotaurs are capable of using armor of several types, especially shields, although they seem to favor breast plates and partial barding.
Fully grown male manotaurs are often heavily tattooed. This tattooing seems to relate to prowess in combat and social status.
