My phone battery (I think) is quite dead at this point.
Fortunately, my brother replaced his phone late last year and is
sending me the battery from his old one.
Verizon amusingly told me "No we can't service the phone, but it might
be eligible for an upgrade!"
I pulled a golgo 13 and "..."'d my way out of the store.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh and:
<br/>Home again, Home Again. Jiggidy-Jig.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Blearg. Spun out /again/ on the way down the cascades. Slammed into a
barrier which was fortunately covered in snow so I bounced off.
The van is amazingly OK.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I'm in "Ellensburg", less than 100 miles away from Seattle...
Can't get there since the road is closed :(
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And I'm in Boise still, but the power went out in my hotel, not a
problem for my laptop except their wireless LAN connection kinda sorta
needs it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well.
So driving across the country is 'Fun'.
1) If you're going to bother replacing your ancient tires, go for all
four during the winter. Otherwise your car turns into a sit-and-spin-
into-oncoming-traffic
2) Build a freaking TARDIS. Really. I've hit /two/ snow storms so far.
One in the rockies shortly after Denver, and another south of Boise.
The first caused the incident involving spinning out of control as
mentioned above.
However, then you'd miss out on the really impressive mountains.
If your ride isn't a 2 ton teacup with a roof, stolen
from disney land, then you might be able to spend less time spinning,
too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anybody know any kind of el cheapo antenna (no soldering!)
I can get for my D-Link CF 650W?

it occurs to me that internet access might be infinitely valuable on this trip, and the easier it is to get it, the better. Right now I'm sitting
outside an indian restauraunt on my laptop, and this is the only
kind of internet I have until I get back to the west coast, and even
then it would probably be useful...

2. Onimusha Tactics
I'm still not really familiar with Final Fantasy: Tactics
However, I like this game quite a bit.
The only nag I have so far is that my GBA is still
without a good lighting system.
3. Parasite Eve
I beat the SP in about two days, on the 'EX' mode now..
4. Nuclear Strike
It's a Strike game...
