Michael and Judith's wedding was awesome. That is all.

10:42 < akawaka> "All the zepplins are grounded master slater!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
17:56 < jebus> remember, there are two paths to hell: not accepting
the jesus as your savior and downloading romz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I found a place to live today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
00:20 <+vogon> sibn: scholars say that the release of Debian 3.2 is
the event heralded by the end of the Mayan Fourth Age.
00:20 <+vogon> sibn: apparently, they're going to be switching to
  glibc 2.
00:20 <+vogon> AT LAST
00:20 <+vogon> FINALLY I CAN LINK MY PROGRAMS DYNAMICALLY
00:20 <+sibn> is glibc2 stable yet?
00:21 <+vogon> nope, there's a crashbug on the Cray 1, if you're
running Tribes 2 in AAlib on the third new moon of a
  lunar year.
00:21 <+vogon> it's still in experimental.
00:21 <+sibn> omgno
00:22 <+vogon> yeah :[
00:22 <+vogon> I don't know how GNU can release such low-quality
  software. :(

And one day, my .plan will dissapear from the .NET, and then all these
moments will be lost like tears in rain.

http://www.rdesktop.org/ is pretty cool. If you don't have the
terminal services server thing, however, it will just willy nilly log
out whomever is logged in at the time. This results in lots of 'AHHS!'

Leaving for Seattle in the morning. You don't have to worry Mr. Bezeos
I've updated my wishlist shipping address!

Finally got sound working on this laptop, it turned out I was barking
up the wrong tree with sound blaster emulation.

20:51 <@Briareos> "Amazon today announced fictional revenue of $7B
after King Of Prussia resident Zachary Slater put
the entire Amazon.com product inventory on his
  Wish List."

03:29 <+zakk> any suggestions for things to take to stay up?
...
03:30 <+icculus> My first impulse was "viagra" when you asked for
  advice on staying up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
17:59 <+MEGASTeP> plus it has code that says "if ( username == "zakk" )
  raise(SIGSEGV);"
17:59 <+Primer> we've secretly replaced zakk's 2.2 kernel with kernel
  2.4...let's see if he notices...

Dr. Dobb's Michael Swaine on the new G5:
"A line of new Macs based on IBM's 64-bit PowerPC 970 CPU, which Apple
calls the G5. Maxing out at 2 GHz today, they'll hit 3MHz in a year;"

Truly x86 owners everywhere shall tremble at the awesome bogomips of
the 3MHz G5, when it is released next year.

President Bush likes to CRUSH TERROR WITH HIS MIND!

found a single floppy Linux that does everything I need to get Gentoo
onto my laptop: http://trinux.sourceforge.net/
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It turned out the weird noises from my car were caused by a bottle
of water left on the roof.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
17:02 < vogon> Sketch: zakk moves by constantly crumpling under
  his own weight.
17:02 < vogon> <zakk> I'm like a plastic bag caught in an updraft

17:02 < terra> zakk is a zombie
17:02 < terra> animated by magic
17:02 < terra> or some weird virus
17:02 < vogon> <zakk> FOR THE DARK MASTER
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ample description of my ride home:
00:15 < zakk> <plane> hey want to experience a severe lack of gravity???
00:15 < zakk> <zakk> Uh, no
00:15 < zakk> <plane> too bad!
00:15 < zakk> * plane dives
I also managed to forget my watch at security since they were
hassling me about something in my carry-on.

And my car is making weird noises when I apply the breaks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
21:40 < zakk> I'll probably fly out some time after the 13th of august
21:40 < zakk> unless I go to the east coast for LWCE
21:40 < zakk> which I'd fly to Seattle from
21:40 < Judecca> <zakk> I'm very high profile now
21:41 < Judecca> <zakk> I'll fly to seattle after I attend my board
  meeting in japan
