I'm a firm believer that what is more important than the point being
argued is the way in which it is argued. When reading arguments that
I both agree and disagree with, if I find that the method of argument
is improper, I immediately discount everything that individual says about
the topic. Still, due to a strange quirk in my personality, I desire to
read more and more of their arguments for my own amusement.

This is why I read World Tech Tribune. Mr. McCollum's articles are a
large source of amusement for me as both a Linux programmer and a thinking
individual. I do not think it would be unfair or incorrect to say that Mr.
McCollum is a McCarthiest, and because of this he has a great hatred for
both Linux and the Open Source movement in general.

I can't think of an eloquent way to end this .plan so I won't. Bottom line
if anyone (even me) argues for an issue in a manner similar to Scott
McCollum or Jeff Godwin, don't believe them even if you suspect they are
right. If they are right someone will come around with a good argument to
persuade you.
