Projects
Here comes a list of my projects. The date between parenthesis is when the project started.rcalc (2002):
I'm the new maintainer of rcalc since version > 0.3.7. The original author does not have time to work on it anymore.
rcalc is a scientific calculator for the GNOME desktop environment.
It aims to occupy the middle ground between simple `point-and-click'
calculators and full featured mathematical packages, and hopefully take
some of the best of both worlds.
License : GPL.
Terrain generator (2003):
This software generates terrains heightmaps using various algorithms (fractal or not), and renders them using
OpenGL. A filter system let you transform the terrain and choose color schemes.
See
screenshot 1,
screenshot 2.
It requieres GTK+-2, GtkGLExt and runs at least on GNU/Linux
(source code) and MS-Windows
(binaries available,
but you'll also need to install
GTK2 and
GtkGLExt runtime environments).
As it was written for a university project, French is the only available language at the moment.
License : GPL.
liborphy (2002):
an acquisition library for the Orphy hardwares (currently only GTS)
from Micrelec, for GNU/Linux.
Orphy hardwares are used in many french high schools to do laboratory work.
However, nearly all laboratory works
in french schools are done with software that only works on Microsoft
operating systems.
In this context comes this library, and the following software that uses
it.
License : LGPL.
gTipi (2002):
a laboratory work software for GNU/Linux, that uses Gtk+, GtkPlot, and liborphy.
It is not built to be hardware dependant: it uses liborphy because I only
have an OrphyGTS to test. The goal, however, is to make gTipi usable with
any acquisition device (the ones you found in high schools, that is).
To do this, I either need hardware models with specifications to write
functions, or I can use existing libraries if they exist.
If you are interested in gTipi and can help me by lending me hardware, contact
me !
License : GPL.
The Blue Mango Quest (2000-2001,
not still actively developped): my first attempt to make a 3D arcade game.
It runs on GNU/Linux systems and ms-windows, and it's written using OpenGL
and SDL.
Guillaume Burlet is the graphics designer.
This project is nearly dead.
License: GPL.
some help to port CSP (Combat Flight Simulator) to GNU/Linux
(very old development screenshot "woohoo it works").
This also includes a port of osgedit to GTK+-2 only (i.e., works without GNOME libraries),
so that it can be compiled on MacOS or MS-windows, as aksed by some CSP developers
(development screenshot "woohoo it works").
some help to finish Anvil of Thyrion, the Hexen2 port to GNU/Linux that has been done by Dan 'theoddone33' Olson.
