That is a very fair excuse. You obviously cannot play if you only have
access to a Linux machine. So when it comes out will you play then? You
should because it's a really great game. <br>

It does take a while to learn, not nearly as easy as UT2k4. I am still
learning new stuff all the time and I have been playing >1800 stats
games plus at least 1000 or so that did not count. That does not
include off line instant action or games on locked or custom servers.
I think way too many players just give up after being owned online. I
still get owned, spanked, whatever you want to call it. Obviously,
less experienced players may turn away instead of practicing and
learning.<br>

I think what likely turned so many away was the learning curve. Many
were simply unable to get far enough along to get past that either I
must really suck or the game totally sucks stage. I do not often hear
the former. Maybe that's why there are so many haters of the game.
Jumping into a server to play the maps for the 2nd or 3rd time with
other players who have played those same maps hundreds of times means
what it means. If new players think they will own when the first start
playing, that is just silly. Everyone has to learn a new game. Some
faster than others. It's just common sense. UT3 is just way more
experience, tactics, and brain intensive that UT2K4.<br>

I will switch over when the Linux client does come out and retire the
windoze crap. Well, I will unplug the drive and tape a note to it. But,
I will also get the game working on several other machines, the kids
want to play, and several friends. I know lots of windoze haters who
will play on linux, even if just for a week, just to stick that finger
up at microsoft and twist it a bit..<br>
