How is it not worth excitement? Just because it's in beta? Also the beta is
limited to Ubuntu but the full version will work on any distro and actually
you can bypass the beta restrictions and already run it on other distros.
The list of games it's bringing over to Linux is massive including all of
Valve's Source games. Not only that but such a  big move has a good chance
of attracting more devs to Linux.
