Sort of amusing that all of us pissed off Linux gamers still care
enough to bitch to Epic about how badly we think they've treated us...
I myself am a part of that crowd, as noted by something I wrote a bit
negatively a few weeks ago... I just hope the developers realize that
underneath the bravado and death threats we spew (lol) that we still
care enough to at least threaten them in hopes of the game being
ported. Either way... still no word how they've taken it, or even if
they still read this list. So what are we now? Martyrs? We were
promised this game and have been waiting for this game for *almost*
two years now... (November being the PC version). For those of us
with a 360 it's been 2 years and 3-ish months. I do think client-side
prediction was a bit nicer in ut2004, though it's hard to pinpoint how
much of that is "graphical lag"... The PC version feels a little
sloppy on the mouse handling, I hope they'll work on that in an
update... (really, play anything using Valve's Source engine and
you'll see what sort of monkeyed mouse input we've grown used to).
It's definitely a fun game... just think it lacks the sort of
developer-player connection outside of the Make Somthing Unreal
contests... This game was set to be released in 2009, and I guess I
won't give up hope until then. Definitely discouraging though...
emphasis on raging. Blah, my thoughts are a bit disorganized,
peace... my friends of the underdog.
