They "lock" a lot more threads than just linux threads. It's quite
sad for me.. being an avid player since the beginning... It seems like
Epic has become full of themselves.

I bought a new PC and vid card for this game... though I'm a Mac user
at heart. I'm not a rich man. Thats how devoted to the game I am.
In fact, Unreal has been the only game that I've owned and updated
for almost 10 years now... well, I guess I have a couple others,
but I don't play them.

For those expecting a great game once the Linux client comes out...
hmmm, not much good to say there. It reminds me of the 3 newer StarWars
movies... pretty pictures, but lacking in content (game play). Like
I said, I have a brand new PC with a nice vid card... and I still choose to play
UT2k4 on my mac. What I do like about the new client is, in the special
edition, it contains a nice editor and some nice editor training vids..
I think the game can be saved if the game gets some good map makers and
mods.
