The fact that you feel frustrated is very much understandable. However,
I do not recall Ryan (or anyone else for that matter) stating the Linux
client is anywhere near finished. If you think you remember Ryan stating
something along those lines, he only said the _server_ was close to a
release, back when the legal issues were "new".

Yes, I am also waiting for a Linux release, the UT3 DVD case has been
lying on my shelf for quite some time now too. As frustrating as that
may be, folks, ranting about the lack of a release date is both
disrespectful and pointless (comparing UT3 to Duke Nukem forever even
more so), as Ryan has stated he will not comment on release dates. He is
right not to do this. Release dates are usually quite hard to predict
with a proper amount of precision and when they are not met, people go
haywire, like they would if their beloved car is smashed to pieces.
Besides, Ryan is most likely not responsible for the holdup. I would be
extremely surprised if the people in the position to make a difference
were reading, or even aware of the existence of this list.

Yes, I understand the rants, but there is little point to them. Could we
stop polluting this list with these inquiries altogether please? There
are people still waiting patiently for a release and I for one am tired
of reading the same thing over and over again. Thank you very much.
