No, but he /has/ said that when he has something to tell, he will tell
us. On multiple separate occasions. This tells me that he doesn't want
to be bothered with billions of requests for updates. He will update us
when he's darn good and ready to do so. If the project gets derailed, I
expect that he will tell us so so that we can move on and look for other
time-wasters to occupy us.

I, for one, am tired of my mailbox getting filled with request after
request for updates. I signed up for this list primarily to get first
notice when Ryan does finish his work and secondarily to keep track of
the native Linux server.

He's done a lot of good work in the past, and I expect that when he's
done, the client will be very good. I also appreciate his need for time
to get this done. God knows I like to have time for my projects.

Likewise, 3D Realms will tell us when their baby finally makes if out of
the #1 spot on the vaporware list as well - or whether it will stay
there permanently.

In any case, we will know when there's something for us to know.
