Not that I don't sympathize your frustration (I'm a gamer eagerly waiting 
also), I think you're being a bit harsh.  Epic and id are huge supporters 
of Linux and there is nothing making them do that.  They may make a few 
dollars, relatively, on Linux and Mac ports but I think they truly like 
looking at the bigger picture and supporting alternative OSes.  Let's lay 
off a bit and let these guys (in this case Ryan), do their job and we'll 
get a good product.

While I don't think it would necessarily be right if we got the product 
six months from now, we're only talking possibly weeks apart.  The game is 
still going to be hot!  You're not going to be playing alone.  Lay off 
the advocacy for a minute and try to be a little more supportive of a good 
thing.
