gamespy

Hi,

I looked at gamespy.com for the first time this afternoon.  From looking
at the the demo ( I set up a windows box for a few hours last night )
and messages posted here, I have to "register" with gamespy to play this
game online?  I could not find a "register" link on gamespy though.

I have the feeling that I'm the only person who's not already familiar
with gamespy, could anyone provide any detail?  Does gamespy cost
money?  Can I change the name I play as on a whim as often as I want?
