Dedicated

Hello all... Hope you are having Happy Holidays!

After updating ut3-bin, everything works great. Thanks guys...

BUT, I am having another minor issue.

My server name in the server browser shows up as "Player:FunBox UT3
Dedicated"
I do not want it to show the "Player" part. I think I am stuck with it,
but have tried everything to at least change it to something else, but so
far .. No Luck.. =(

Here is my start-up line:

server
DM-Deck?GameMode=0?GamePassword=xxxxx?ServerDescription=07000011700011000006
6000111000120000032000085000084000051000032000068000101000100000105000099000
097000116000101000100000?bIsDedicated=True?GoalScore=0?MaxPlayers=8?MinNetPl
ayers=1?TimeLimit=20?AdminPassword=xxxxx? -unattended

*Please note that I have already tried my GameSpy credentials with no
success. I have yet to see it in the internet. I only see it in the LAN and
that is only when I do not specify the login and password.

Any thoughts? Anyone have a solution or suggestion to solve this?

Best Regards

The binary in that reguard is the entire installer package, Ryan said a
while back that if you tell unzip to unzip it, it will create a directory
called Data. everything inside that directory is what gets extracted from it
if you run it normally.

The other binary, is the updated ut3-bin file...which is

HYPERLINK
"http://treefort.icculus.org/ut3/ut3-bin-test.tar.bz2"http://treefort.icculu
s.org/ut3/ut3-bin-test.tar.bz2

fixed the udp recfrm error ( HYPERLINK "http://0.0.0.0"0.0.0.0) ip thing,
and fixes a few crashes.

as for opening an ip, it's simply:

open 200.300.400.500:7777

in the console (~ or F10 by default)

hope that helps :)

Where can i get this updated binary you are all talking about.
I am one of the people that complains that their server is not seen in any
server browser..

Also, does anyone know how to "Open IP" directly. I would rather give my
friend my IP than they have to go to the Master Server to look for my
game.?!?!?!?!

Thanks

Just unzip it. there will be a "data" directory, everything inside is there
is what gets installed as if you execute the binary file.

Check your md5sum against the one icculus reported when he released
the package, but probably the solution is to redownload... I had
that and it was a corrupt file.
