A touch more information. The md5sum of the binary matches. Additionally, I
installed the Lua rpms from rpmforge (lua-5.0.2-1.el5.rf)

 

I'm happy to provide an strace if it's helpful. 

 

My host information is: Linux thalia.magicalspirits.net 2.6.18-8.1.14.el5 #1
SMP Thu Sep 27 19:05:32 EDT 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
