Some kind of indication

I'm going to preface this with:

I know...I know....I'm not going to get a date. I'm not looking for one.

Here's the thing: If the linux server isn't going to be out for 6
months, it'd be nice to know that so that we could at least consider
paying for a windows licence.

So....what I'm asking for is this: some kind of indication. Something
like: "at least a month" or "probably in the region of 1 to 3 months" or
"pre-christmas is likely" or "pre-christmas is unlikely".

Any chance of that?
