Yes, you can. You need to get an installer which depends on the version
of the CD you have (GOTY or whatever). Some installations require extra
work because the installer does not extract the maps for some CDs.
Despite some pages saying that in this case you need to copy the maps
from a windows installation, this can also be done under linux.
