[ut2004] debian 4 ut2004 no mouse

Just out of sheer curiousity, try switching to one of the lightweight
environments and see if you still get the odd mouse behaviour, or shutdown X
and try launching ut2k4 with xinit, ie xinit ut2004 (I think this is the
correct syntax).

It could be that gnome is not releasing the mouse/keyboard.
