WinXP also still runs DOS programs from 1980.

The things service pack 2 broke were doing low-level hacks (firewalls
hooking into the TCP/IP stack, virus scanners catching all file i/o, etc).

"Hello world" breaks when Linux developers decide to change the ABI.
