Disappearing UT2004.ini file.

Hi all,
    Anyone know why my UT2004.ini file would suddenly disappear? This is 
the 5th or 6th time this has happend on two different systems and when 
it happens this is what my UT2004.ini looks like:

[FirstRun]
FirstRun=3323

     Yes that's the whole file. I don't understand what causes this, can 
some one help me out?
