Slow post-gaming performance

Hi all,
    I haven't seen any other references to this, but I am experiencing 
sluggish performance on my Fedora box after exiting UT2004. This will 
last for at least an hour, but does eventually subside. I am running 
kernel-2.4.24-1.ll.rhfc1.ccrma, the low latency kernel from CCRMA at 
Stanford, and generally my box is very responsive unless I have been 
playing UT2004 recently. Any ideas?
