A fundamental principle of *nix: no news is good news. since nothing 
happened it must have worked, because if it didn't it would have told you.

Once you've done that you should be able to do the install as you would 
expect. Note that /media/dvd/ represents the mountpoint of the drive 
you're installing from, which may not actually be /media/dvd/. For 
example, mine is /media/dvdrecorder/.
