I have personally used Slackware 9.1 & 10.0.  I cannot comment on
performance under Windows, as I've never used it on this computer.
Under Linux, however, performance of UT2004 is an average of around
30-60fps (VSync is enabled) at 1600x1200 with all details on High and
Quincunx Anti-Aliasing.  Large maps and terrain maps tend to run the
most poorly (e.g. Torlan, Valarna, etc.)
