segmentation fault when trying multi or single player.

Hi,
When I run UT2003, the game starts up just fine and I
can do the instant action all I want, but as soon as I
hit play online or single player, the game quits out.
I get the message on the terminal window, "Checking CD
key, Segmentation Fault." 

any ideas??
