UT2003 did use OpenAL right off the bat.
The problem is DirectX. If developers had a reason to use OpenGL over
Direct3D, then we would be laughing... I just hope that OpenGL 2.0 will
be attractive...
If I were a [real] developer, I sure would prefer to do it in Linux. I
can't count the number of times I've lost code in Windows due to the
editor crashing or Windows dying.
And I can't count the number of times that my Linux code editor has
locked up, because it hasn't. :p
