Playing Error

I am having a frustrating error trying to play ut2003.  When I try and load a 
map, single player or multiplayer.  I usually just get the uninlluminating 
error on the console of "killed."  I have attched my log file.  I cannot find 
anything in it to point to an error.  I am running Gentoo, up to date , and 
just instelled openal thinking this would help.  No such luck.  Has anyone 
else had this problem, and how did you solve it if you did.  I am very ancy 
to play this game, and am blocked at every attempt.  I did manage to get a 
backtrace while playing as root.  It read:

This is the only thing I have ever seen at termination other than the killed 
message.  Thanks for the help in advance.
