Yeah, I did realise that (the resolution you set is used though), but
I'd also been running ut2003_demo dm-asbestos?spectatoronly=true?numbots=x
with and without -nosound to try and get something less subjective than
me simply running about on a level.
I just had a quick run around on a low ping server and performance from
stat fps was much better (mine wasn't though - I need to practise ;)
Looks like using sdl c/w dma for sound is a winner, and the
benchmarking's fixed settings and/or running locally so you're controlling
all the bots and running the client needs a meaty machine...online it's
fine. I shall sneakily install and run a server on my partner's machine
I think ;)
