That is safe to do; it will try to copy itself automatically anyhow, but 
if you're having trouble:

   - mount disc 3
   - copy linux_installer.sh to your hard drive
   - unmount disc 3 (so you know you can)
   - Run the installer from where you copied it, which will then ask for 
disc 1.
