The new drivers should work with ut2003. The old ones do not.

Some ATI users could make use of Xi Graphics' X server for accelerated 
3D, too. Xi's been totally hardcore about improving their drivers for 
this game.

In short, if you've got a modern Nvidia or ATI card, you should be 
covered at this point.
