Message-ID: <200307061930.h66JU1Y14461@shell.imsa.edu> A "not for retail" disk of Serious Sam: The First Encounter was bundled with my video card. The Linux beta installer doesn't seem to recognize as the install disk; I'm not sure if it differs in some critical way from the retail version or if I'm having another problem. Anyway, is there a way to fool the installer into letting me use it? For example you can give this a shot. export SETUP_CDROM=/mnt/cdromdrive This can usually be why it can't see the the CD that is in the drive. The cdrom drive depends on which device you have installed. You can check your /etc/fstab to find out which it is.
