<P><FONT SIZE=2>The problem is not smpeg, it is the version of SDL that ships with</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>FC4. It has a bug in the overlay code which produces this effect.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Update to the CVS version of SDL (which is now at 1.2.10 i think) and</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the problem will go away.</FONT>
