Is 10 no reasonable default? I don't think this warrants a preferences
window really, unless you have some other important options the users
might want to set.

reasonable to me, but I didn't want to enforce my views. Maybe for some
it would be
too much or too little. Retrieving each record takes a couple of
seconds, so I can easily see that someone may think that 10 is too
much. On the other hand, one can use the plugin as some sort of an
interface to ISI (albeit a pretty lousy interface), and then 10 maybe
too little. Anyway, I don't think the preferences window adds any
clutter to
the interface. </p>
