As a matter of fact, I do have a *working* patch for EliteForce available 
here: http://thilo.kickchat.com/efport-progress/

At the moment, almost full Multiplayer compatibility exists to the old server 
protocol, as well.
The patch should apply cleanly against the latest icculus.org revision.
