FWIW q3 currently builds (which does not necessarily mean it also runs) on
Linux i386, ia64, ppc, ppc64, s390, s390x, x86_64. lcc currently fails on 
ia64.

In case anyone wants to try q3 but is too lazy to compile it, here are
packages: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/lnussel/quake3/ (glibc 2.3)
