You could do that but that would defeat the purpose of being able to run
Quake2 without libGL. On sparc, there are the XIL, Newt and X11
renderers which don't use GL and should not depend upon its library for
starting up the quake2 executable (that's the purpose of the dlopen()
calls). Please don't break things for other platforms.. :)
PS: The mouse in GLX under Linux stills looks very broken to me
(XFree-4.3.0, RHEL3, NVidia Quadro4 580 GL card) whereas it works fine on
Solaris/Sparc. I'll try to track it down early next week, must be under
