My plan, when I started, was to make the Linux client more robust, without
adding any extra or unnecessary features.  I think, at least in my
opinion, that it is almost there.

If I decide to go beyond the original game, it will most likely be a
separate project; a game based on the Quake 2 engine, maybe.
