I'm pretty much used to them :-/. I've gotten in the habit of leaving
a shell in the corner of the screen; a crash leaves the X server
jammed at a reduced resolution but if there's a shell in the right
spot I can restart pydance (or any fullscreen SDL program) and it will
unjam it.

Yep, pretty much all of them (I count 1324 at the moment). I did see
the note about MP3/SMPEG being a source of crashes, but I figured I'd
report what I'd seen so far anyway since at least one of them was
definitely not in the song selector.

Will try that next, and then see about converting or removing MP3s if
it still keeps crashing. I'll see if I can find a predictable crash to
test against, since up to now they've been pretty random -- sometimes
it works fine for hours, other times it dies every 2-3 songs.

Looks right, I'll give it a shot. Some of my song archive is a
complete mess due to inconsistent packaging by the creators, so I have
several other fixes I've been meaning to do in there anyway.

Thanks,
