I tried the equivalent control-click but that just results in a "CTRL". 2) Some characters cannot be set on fire, for example the Running-w/Scissors guy who comes up if you're too slow in the first map who says "vince wants to see you" can't be set on fire (e.g. if you're near the fireplace, set your self on fire, and bump into him). I assume they also can't be damaged, etc. 3) Spin bug: (both online & multiplayer). Set a key to "LOOK DOWN". Hold that key down, and move the mouse up and to the side at the same time. If you do it right (it's pretty easy), you'll initiate a rapid spinning mode-- you will rapidly spin in circles, even though you're no longer moving your mouse-- you'll spin forever. I've been chopping up the postal1 data to try and get both the games onto a 700mb CD, but it's no good (I'm at like 705 or so by best attempts, publishers get nervous if you're over like 675 megs). Running With Scissors will probably have to keep them seperate (two discs, one box? Download option? I have no idea). Postal1/osx is definitely going to be available in some form, but I'm not really sure what that form will be, exactly. --ryan. We're animals to start with!!! ;) I hope RWS can get publishing/distribution etc etc sorted out soon and get the Linux and Mac builds out there. Back to sweet insomnia. In order to celebrate the future release of Mac Postal 2, i organised a MacPostal2FragTest at home for a full night. I was helped by four friends (My neighbour was not invited ... hehehehehe) ! They are PC users ... therefore they didn't try to get the game (bouuuhhhh, it is bad to steal video games !). A little report : * Installer ran fine on all my Macs (5 flavours, with some OSX.3.x) * Solo game completed without new bug found on all computers * Multiplayer worked fine (dedicated server included), and no new bugs found * I drank too much cola and now I am sick ... A great night, for a great cynical-politicaly incorrect-gore-fun game ! Share the pain !! Guillaume On 10 oct. 04, at 12:27, Ryan C. Which means that they love doing interviews. For those on the list that run Mac news sites, please drop me a line off-list if you want to do an interview with me or Vince Desi about Postal for Mac. It looks like RWS is going to do Postal 1 as a download-only thing, which is why there's no installer in that package...for downloads, it's nice to just have it pull down via Safari, automatically unpack and leave the game icon on the desktop, which can be moved elsewhere and uninstalled by dragging to the trash. I don't know what the price of Postal 1 will be (or if it'll be a free download to hype Postal 2, or if it'll be a free download if you buy Postal 2, etc)...all of this will be made clear in the coming days, I assume. The above file is the exact thing I gave to RWS. There's no expiration on it. Do not distribute it to your friends or enemies. :) I'll be disabling that download in a few days, so grab it while you can! Again, thanks for all the hard work and great feedback! I'm going to leave this mailing list here in case new testing opportunities (postal or otherwise) pop up. --ryan.
