[physfs] physfs fail to initialize properly on Debian kfreebsd

I spent way too long today trying to get kFreeBSD installed and working 
without success. I will happily accept a patch, but I don't plan to 
spend any more of my own time on this issue.

I would appreciate it if someone intimate with this platform could look 
into the bug and shed some light on the problem.
