A lot of fixes were made for 1.1.1, which just shipped recently:

Also, if you don't need a 1.1-branch feature, 1.0.1 is a better bet 
right now, since 1.1 is still stabilizing. (Bug reports like this on 1.1 
are definitely appreciated, though!). If you aren't using a new function 
introduced in 1.1, then 1.0 should be source and binary compatible with 
your project.
