I don't like GTK+ 3.0 myself, the mentioned application is not bound to a
GTK+ even, don't say to some particular version, it's question of plugin
which implements a frontend. Current frontends are CLI and GTK+ (>= 2.18)</pre>

but nobody stops you from adding a Qt or FLTK frontend, it should be not
a hard work, even third party frontends are simple to create. :)
