Well, no. It still doesn't work. I don't have the FreeBSD installation
anymore, but the Debian Bullseye I mentioned before is actually Spiral
Linux, running as guest on VirtualBox.

My FreeBSD installation was also running in VirtualBox so I wonder if
that would be the cause. For example, this:
