[openbox] batti issues and possible alternatives

On OpenBox, I have been using batti for my power-manager. However, of late, on Fedora 24, here is what I have been getting:

$batti
Neither UPower nor DeviceKit.Power could be initialized!
This can have multiple reasons.
Here is the error for UPower:

    org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs: No such property 'type'

And this is the error for DeviceKit.Power:

org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.DeviceKit.Power was not provided by any .service files

and the program exits.

I did post on Fedora mailing list a while ago, but no one responded. Maybe not many people use batti any longer.

So, I am looking for a solution (best) or an alternative to batti. I would like to avoid using desktop tools such as xfce4-powermanager and lxqt-powermanagement which bring in a host of dependencies (which IMO defeats the purpose of using a minimal quality WM environment).

Any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance!

Best wishes,
Ranjan
