1) It is a heavy Python script.
2) People reported it may ruin other sections in rc.xml file sometimes.

I am fine editing it by hand myself, but I know a lot of people who don't
know XML at all but are happy users of Linux desktop.

I don't like GTK+ 3.0 myself, the mentioned application is not bound to a
GTK+ even, don't say to some particular version, it's question of plugin
which implements a frontend. Current frontends are CLI and GTK+ (>= 2.18)
but nobody stops you from adding a Qt or FLTK frontend, it should be not
a hard work, even third party frontends are simple to create. :)
