Just a report for the future generations - I put width instead of
width/3 in these two places and recompiled in my debian system as per
isntructions in
https://wiki.debian.org/BuildingTutorial
It was very straightforward and I'm much happier person now :-)

Aside: feature proposal - making the window switcher usable with a
custom app list - for example only zathura windows.
