[openbox] Changing highlighted window on taskbar when using Alt-Tab

I am using Openbox 3.5.0 and fbpanel 6.1.

When Openbox is configured to raise windows while switching when using
Alt-Tab, the highlighed window remains unchanged on the taskbar until
Alt-Tab is released.

Before posting, I checked the archives and enhancement requests and
found this has been discussed several times, but without any obvious
resolution.

How difficult would this be to implement ?

I noticed one enhancement request in
https://bugzilla.icculus.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4449 had supplied a
patch, but that patch uses the old style Openbox function calls. There
wasn't any feedback on the patch so I don't know if the approach in
that patch is ok or not.
